The Huse School Apartments involved the renovation and rehabilitation of the John E.L. Huse Memorial School, built in 1942 and 1949. This former elementary school was repurposed into 31 apartments that included a new construction wing with 28 apartments, for a total of 59 brand new units.
The apartments in the 1942 wing feature original wood floors, high ceilings, and huge new windows. There is a mixture of efficiency, one and two-bedroom apartments which vary in size from 312 to 1,059 square feet. Units include off-street parking, wi-fi, fitness center, community room and secure bike storage. Soundproofing between the apartments is extraordinary.
